This is Sydney Martin. When she was 8 years old, she started a rock necklace business. She would find beautiful rocks on the beach of Lake Michigan and turn them into necklaces with a simple string. The necklaces were a hit among family and friends. She saved up the money and planned to use the money for something important. Now she knows what that is...
In September 2007, when Sydney was 10 years old, a lesion was discovered in her cheekbone. She was diagnosed with LCH.
Sydney has been doing well since her treatment and has sold alot of necklaces. To date, she has raised almost $250,000 for Histiocytosis research. Today, she continues to sell necklaces and helps hosts other fundraisers. Her goal for 2014 is to reach $300,000. You can help her surpass her goal by buying a necklace or a shirt from her.
