Reflections on Hike for a CURE, Texas

Toby Hausman, Secretary for The HCF and parent of HLH-survivor, Brooke, helped to launch Hike For A Cure in Texas.  Toby and his wife, BJ, worked closely with Ron and Colleen to get the Texas Hike up and going.  The community created as histio families come together for the Hike is truly amazing.  Below Toby offers some of his thoughts on the Hike.

On April 26, 2011, The Histio Cure Foundation was born.  Like so many new lives, it was born of parents’ love.  United by one passion…to see a cure for Histiocytosis in their own children’s lifetimes, these parents did what all new parents do.  They cared deeply, worked incredibly hard, often got little sleep, worried at times about how things were going, and marveled at the achievements, big and small, of their new creation...

Histio CURE Foundation New Website Released!

Today we are excited to be releasing our new Histio CURE Foundation website. We put up the original iteration of our site back in May 2011 fairly quickly - we just needed something that could provide basic information on the new organization and our mission.
